In response to an appeal made by present Home Minister of Maharashtra State, Mr. Anil Deshmukh, many Celebrities from different fields have changed Twitter and Instagram DP to the logo of Maharashtra Police, who lost 6 of their members due to COVID-19 while providing aid and support to the ones who are in need. The stars who have changed their profile pictures include Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ravi Shastri, Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi, Vidya Balan, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sidharth Malhotra, Richa Chadha, Sonu Sood and Anand Mahindra.

In response to above tweet by Hon. Home Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Anil Deshmukh, SRK changed his DP in Twitter to the Maharashtra Police logo and wrote : ” I stand in solidarity with Maharashtra police @DGPMaharashtra.
Thank u to @AnilDeshmukhNCP @MumbaiPolice for relentless efforts in the face of this adversity. Very grateful to doctors, medical staff, health workers who are leading the fight against the virus on the frontlines.

Indian Cricket Legend, Sachin Tendulkar too changed his dp on Twitter and wrote: “A big THANK YOU to the Maharashtra Police & the Police Forces across India who have been tirelessly working 24/7 to keep us safe.

Indian Cricket Team Skipper Virat Kohli too changed his DP and wrote: “Maharashtra Police has stood by citizens through calamities, attacks & disasters. Today as they lead the war against Corona on the streets, I’ve decided to celebrate them by changing my DP here on Twitter to the Maharashtra Police logo. Join me in this endeavour.

Ace Bollywood Director and Producer wasn’t far behind, he too changed his DP on Twitter and wrote: “Immensely grateful to the @MumbaiPolice for working tirelessly and relentlessly to ensure our safety and protecting us during theses turbulent times ! We are so thankful and our changed profile is a tiny way of expressing our deepest gratitude! @AnilDeshmukhNCP

Akshay Kumar too changed his DP on Twitter and wrote: “Everyday I hear incidents of bravery of our frontline workers who are putting fear & exhaustion aside and putting us first. One such hero is our Maharashtra Police, I’m changing my DP to theirs as a mark of respect.Join in, together let’s say #DilSeSalute to them🙏🏻@DGPMaharashtra
